Scream Factory has stepped up to the plate to release Tobe Hooper's 1986 Texas Chainsaw sequel on Blu-ray in a collector's edition two-disc set.
The film was quite controversial in its day, running into a few snags with the censors over it's highly explicit and gory content. Upon its release, it failed to find an audience, who found its blend of broad humor and the aforementioned blood and gore to be uneven. However, over the years, it has become a cult item amongst devoted horror fans, and has now been given a stellar release from the dependable folks over at Shout Factory.
The disc is packed with special features. The film is presented with a new 2K scan, and features three commentaries, as well as outtakes, behind the scenes footage, alternate scenes, deleted footage, interview with the cast and crew, and a feature on the locations used in the film.
This is a must-own set for film buffs. Highly recommended!
